Details of the art itself

This is a data visualization created using JavaScript code. The data is the content of VizHub.com. The only way to create a "viz" in VizHub is to "fork" (make a copy of) an existing viz. Additionally, each viz has a revision history associated with it. The art piece uses this dataset of roughly 350,000 "commits" (points in the revision history, like Git commits but not actually using Git). The circular structures in the piece show popular vizzes that have many forks off of them.
